BCS STEAM 2021 has ended

  • To Register and save your spot, fill out your profile information and set up your password on SCHED. Please enter your email carefully as this is how you will receive important information.
  • Select sessions to create your schedule and reserve your seat.
  • Don’t forget to bookmark this site on your computer or device so that you can access your schedule on the day of the event.
  • Attendees will be sent a link to a conference survey at the end of the conference. Once the survey has been submitted you will receive your certificate of attendance. The conference survey will close 24 hours after the event.
  • The link for BCS employees to register in Frontline/My Learning Plan will also be shared in the survey. BCS employees must register in My Learning Plan to earn CEU’s for the day. Frontline/MyLearning Plan registration will close 24 hours after the event. 
  • BCS Certified Staff:  If you do not complete the conference survey and Frontline/MyLearning Plan registration within 24 hours you will not receive CEUs for the conference. Please make sure you complete these on August 6, 2021.
  • ZOOM KNOWN ISSUE:  If you receive an error that your speakers are not recognized do the following:  Go to Zoom.us and select Join a Meeting.  Enter Meeting Code and Password if prompted.

It's All About the Students - Creating Learner Profiles You Can Use

Kick Off the School year with a Bang. Come join us as we explore tools and strategies to really get to know your students, and focus on their needs and learning styles. We will share several ideas for gathering information about your students, and show you how to dig into the data, analyze it, and create Learner Profiles. We will discuss ways you can use learner profiles to create collaborative groups, drive lesson and project planning, and much more. Participants will have a chance to try some of the data exploration during the presentation as well as investigate some resources that make great "next steps" for using the learner profiles. Administrators will also get some insight on using this concept with staff. Participants will leave with a list of resources, and copies of some sample surveys they can take back to the classroom and use right away with their students.

This session will be great for all levels - Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced.  Max Participants - 100
